Repeater Finder (RFinder) taps into The World Wide Repeater Directory, including IRLP and EchoLink information.
RFinder (Repeater Finder), the premier Ham Radio repeater locating tool for Amateur Radio operators, allows you to find repeaters all over the world based on your current location or a specified location. It allows sorting by distance or by Trustee callsign as well as filtering by band and radius in miles or kilometers.
NOW RFinder Routing is integrated with RT Systems radio programmers! Your subscription bought here by installing this app gives you access in RT...just make sure RT is updated to the latest version by pressing Help-Update. Click File-External Data->RFinder Web Search and click Route! Easy as pie to program your radio now for a trip you are taking with just a few easy clicks...check out the tutorial video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaeRzcnNNdQ
NOW INCLUDES SOCIAL FUNCTIONS!!!! In the repeater detail screen, click the Check In button. All users will see that you are on that machine! This can be used to find your friends or a machine with a user on it. In the settings bundle app/RFinder you can turn on APRS posting. This posts your current position with the repeater you are checked into. You can also let your friends on Facebook® know what repeater you are on as well as your Twitter® followers, when checking in.
NOW INTEGRATED WITH THE EchoLink APP!!
From the repeater detail screen, any repeater that has an Echolink node attached just touch the number and if you have the EchoLink app installed it will launch to that node automatically for you.
Our repeater locator database is growing daily.
Access to the Directory is included for one year then it will be an annual subscription for $9.99, and your subscription works for all platforms.... Each purchase of a new platform advances your annual to a year from that new purchase date. Sub
If we do not have your repeaters listed...please do not refund or give us a bad rating...add repeaters at http://add.rfinder.net or request an add or update from the app.. Dont forget LAT/LON (in decimal), use periods as decimals, please.
The application accesses our Worldwide Repeater Directory and scanner directory for Amateur Radio (Ham Radio) but only stores information for repeaters within approximately 80 miles (125 km) from your location on your handheld at any one time, saving you room on your device and allowing distance calculation and mapping features to operate smoothly. It uses geolocation either via cell tower triangulation, GPS or manual location entry (so you can look up the repeaters you will use on vacation or business trips, etc.).
If anyone has lists of Amateur Radio repeaters from their countries we would love to incorporate that into our database.
Worldwide IRLP and Echolink nodes.

Pros and cons of RFinder WW Repeater Directory app for iPhone and iPad
RFinder WW Repeater Directory app good for
Im very impressed with this app. It gives me everything I was looking for in terms of a location based repeater directory and Im sure there are other functions that I just havent discovered yet! I have only had one question that I needed to ask about subscription renewal but Bob was very quick to answer that by email. I highly recommend this app all around.
Bob helped me out quickly and professionally with a small clerical issue I had. RFinder is by far the one go-to app for repeater lookups, and is a must-have for anyone who travels. Thanks for the continued support of this great resource.
Had a minor log in issue, emailed customer support. A quick response and fix with a phone call on a Saturday evening. App works great. Works great with RTSystems programmer.
Love this app and especially how it interfaces with RTSystems software. Easy to use and great customer support for an issue I recently needed help with.
Not only is the program great but the customer support is very rapid. As it turned out the support needed was was due to an error on my part. Nice to be able to have a list of repeaters at hand. Oh. I almost forgot it integrates with RT systems radio programming software.
Had a question and the developer got back to me in minutes. Fantastic app and the web companion login gives coverage maps on google earth. Amazing.
Some bad moments
Similar format and content with free apps. Advertising touts digital repeaters are included, but there is no way to search by digital mode to find usable repeaters.
I can search by digital type and if I update a repeater, it gets updated. This one has at least 3 copies of a local repeater that has been off the air for 2 years. And information on the others is incorrect. You cant depend on it.
RF Finder was a great app working very well. The latest update is having issues with location and finding repeaters. It will lose its location then will not update the location. This is making it difficult find a repeater. If it does not know where it is it cannot find a repeater. Also the new interface is more difficult to use and is not intuitive.
Please consider fixing this app.
Was offered a special promotion if i renewed during hamvention weekend, but when i paid, the subscription never renewed. I tried to contact the app developer several times but no answer. I tried to get support through apple as well and apple could not even help. Buyer beware! My app currently says it expired may 2016, i have tried reseting it, reinstalling it, etc. nothing changed. Good luck if you try to renew a subscription.
This was a waste of $10! This app doesnt function as described.
I have been a software reviewer and tech journalist for 30 years. This is among the worst programs I have seen.
Now with an ARRL endorsement and revenue sharing deal! That is why I purchased this mess.
I am involved with 7 repeaters -- none of which are in this database. I am on the board of a coordination body. We dont provide information for this app, which would still be lousy even with a complete and up-to-date database.
In my area, repeaters are shown multiple times, including those that no longer exist.
Ill add to this review but wanted to warn anyone who might think the League would only endorse good software.
